A: When your current web hosting provider can no longer fulfill the needs of your website, or if you suffer from continual downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the customer service staff to reply to you, it might be a clever idea to switch your web hosting provider, i.e. to move all the files for your websites as well as your databases from your current provider to your new provider. At 4 G Web Works, we are aware that this can be hard & time–consuming. That is why we’ll accomplish all that for you for free!Our trained technical team members will transfer your website content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our techs have a lot of experience migrating websites and can handle anything – from a traditional WordPress–based blog or Joomla^™ CMS–driven website, to an extremely complex, custom–made application.

A: While we cannot give you an exact time interval, because there are lots of variables, among them the size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to move your site within 48h, and in certain cases – within 24h (if the website content is not very large).

A: Yes. We’ll need to have the name of the website that you wish us to migrate. We’ll also require a way to access your current hosting account so that we can get the content associated with your web site.

A: Before we can begin the transfer of your web hosting account, you must already have an account with us. Opening an account with us requires that you to disclose the same info you have given to your current host. We also have a very strict Privacy Policy, which describes how delicate info is used.

A: While we move your web site, it will be available both in your web hosting account with us and in your account with your old web hosting provider. As soon as the migration is finished, we will make sure that everything is working correctly and that the integrity of your data is not compromised before notifying you that the transfer is done. After that, we will explain to you how to move the domain name to your web hosting account with us and how to edit your DNS settings.

A: While we transfer your web content, your web hosting provider will not be aware of the migration at all. We won’t contact them in any way.

A: We support all Linux–powered hosting platforms. Generally, if we can access your Control Panel, we will be able to transfer your website.The only platforms that we don’t support are closed–source web site creation platforms such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square, Mr Site, etc.
